In the world of aftermarket auto parts, there are key leaders in each segments. When it comes to off road race inspired wheels, Method Race Wheels receives the crown. Though their simplistic approach in design can be too plain for some, its been loved by many in the past years.
Who is Method Race Wheels?
Kevin, Bud Fitzgerald and Colby Groom started a race wheel company from off road racing heritage. The founders come from long line of aftermarket wheel industry knowledge including American Racing and KMC. They together built products with off road racing experience which evolved into overlanding. Though most of us are not hitting overlanding trails at 70+MPH, we can assume these wheels would do fine at that speeds.
Today, Method Race Wheels/Custom Wheel House is now a part of Fox Factory group, and we don't think they will be going away anytime soon from the market. We can almost bet on it that they will most likely be around when you need your lifetime warranty replacements.
How is the quality?
As mentioned above, they are inspired from true race wheels, and they certainly do make race wheels. Pretty and fancy design isn't their forte, however, it can come packed with technology driven from off road racing experiences. You can expect the quality to be more rugged and not as fine tuned as some of the other brands in same price point.
What is the price range?
You can find them in the mid $200 range all the way up to low $1,000 for forged beadlocks. Chances are, no matter the price point, they will most likely perform for what you are looking to do with them.
What is our favorite style?
Yes, I am sure your neighbor has this style as well, it would be NV305. It's simple, comes in many finishes and it's loved by many. This style looks good on all the rigs we've seen in person.
